Spain – December 2014 & Full Year

The year ended on a strong note, with 288 units sold, second best result of the year, placing the YTD sales at 1.956 units, a well needed recovery, given the disappointing 2013 results for the Spanish EV Market. 2014 volumes are a 53% improvement over 2013.

Growth 2014

2014 saw a 53% growth over 2013, in line with the average growth rate for Europe. PHEVs gained more than EVs and stood for 16% of the 2014 PEV volume. Market shares of plug-in vehicles in Spain are still minuscule, just 0,2% of the light vehicle market. Spain is still not offering any taxation benefits for buyers of low carbon vehicles.
